Yeah it's definitely more challenging than DR1 and the emphasis on strategy is fantastic. The mandatory limited restarts are a welcome change as this will only improve your driving. It was very easy for DR1 to descend into a hotlap mode but here you have to think about the rally as a whole and be consistent.
The long tracks and small streets in wrc are just way more challenging and fun to play than in dirt rally 2.0. Although i play on wheel I sometimes even play wrc on controller because its just way better to handle on a controller now. The sound is also wayy better than dirt rally 2.0.
I've played plenty of traditional driving games like Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo, and more arcade stuff like Forza Horizon. But never a game designed solely around rallying.

Since I am of the opinion that the more content in the game, the better, I was determined to buy WRC Generations (all these stages and cars), however, I found a lot of information that despite better graphics and more rallies, WRC Generations is worse due to some serious bugs.
