This is an easy ranch mix that you can make at home and keep. I use garlic, onion, black pepper, parsley, dill, thyme, and parsley. You can adjust the amounts to preference. Taste and adjust or mix in cashew cream, taste and adjust.
To make celery ranch mix, add 2 tsp or more celery seeds.

Fantastic! I’ve made this multiple times and it is great. I didn’t think I liked ranch dressing until this recipe!Reply

I made this today and oh my god it is so good! I can’t even tell it’s dairy free. I used it for a ranch oyster cracker recipe and it worked perfectly! I mixed 1 box of oyster crackers (12 oz / 340g), 1/3 cup vegetable oil, 3 tsp of this seasoning, just under 1/4 tsp dill, just under 1/4 tsp garlic powder, and baked it at 200F for 15 min, stirred, and baked another 15 min. I’ll be lucky if I don’t eat it all in a day haha.Reply

What a brilliant recipe! I never thought of adding dill and parsley together, but that seems like a perfect idea. I can’t wait to try it out! Thank you for sharing!Reply

I’m veganizing this recipe for hot crackers https://www.tastecooking.com/recipes/ranch-fire-crackers/ which involves ranch seasoning powder and no liquid (aside from a lot of oil). Do you think powdered soymilk and a pinch of citric acid would do the trick?
Richa
use just the ranch mix (prob 2 tbsp), lime zest, and 1-2 tbsp oil. If you add soy milk powder, you would need more oil for it to stick. also the flavor will be too earthy/dusty. Just use just the ranch mix and lime zest or citric acid(1/4 to 1/2tsp)

Does this equal the same as 1 packet of ranche seasoning mix?

It looks like a Hidden Valley ranch packet is about 8 tsp worth of this.

I’m not vegan but dairy-free. I’ve been missing ranch on summer salads and none of the store-bought DF/vegan ranches quite hit the spot for me. I made this mix up a while ago and have been using it to season potatoes and meat, but finally got around to making it into a dressing. I used two tbsp with 3/4 of a cup of Best Foods vegan mayo, and 1/4 cup Cashew Milk. YUMMY!!!! I’m gonna have to stop myself from eating this all in one sitting! Delicious!Reply

This tastes good but I think ranch has something a little spot in it too from the buttermilk. I want to try squeezing a lime into the cashew cream with this

yes definitely add some tang in the wet mix. I kept the dry without the tang(lemon zest) to store longer

I mixed this into a very boring hummus and it made it great! Thanks! The last vegan ranch I tried had way too much dill, I like these proportions

Where is all the sodium coming from in this dry ranch recipe
Reply
Richa
3/4 tsp salt is 1750 mg sodium for the whole mix. omit it and the value will be 20 mg.
