Everything you need to Design a Pink and Gold Christmas Tree | bluegraygal (2024)

Every year I love to choose a new color scheme to decorate my Christmas trees with.

This year I chose to do a pink Christmas aesthetic in our sunroom using a mix of ornaments I used from this taupe Christmas tree, and adding in pink faux floral to act as the pink Christmas decorations.

While I would have absolutely loved to buy pink Christmas ornaments, I thought I would re-use the sets I already had, and add pink and gold Christmas decorations as accents, rather than as the ornaments themselves.

My pink and gold Christmas decorations came together through a mix of buying new tree picks and reusing what I had and I love the overall feel!

Sources for Pink Christmas Decorations

For this pink and gold Christmas tree I used a few different products. All faux floral is from aFloral, which is a site I shop at often. You can see creations I’ve used with products fromAFloral here on this Christmas tree and also here for outdoor flowers!

Ornaments and ribbon are from pastFrontgateChristmas collections. They launched a beautiful line of pink Christmas ornaments after I styled this tree, and they are so gorgeous!

The7.5″ flocked Christmas tree is from King of Christmas. The white flocked tree is my recommended tree to create a pink Christmas aesthetic. The white just sets the stage for the magic of the color! Tree skirt is from Homegoods last year.

I think every year more and more brands are making pink Christmas tree ornaments because they understand that this look is more than a passing fad.

It’s been nice re-visiting this tree I made years ago to see how brands have created more gorgeous ways to allow us pink lovers to find both beautiful pink ribbbon, pink Christmas tree ornaments, but also complimenting pink Christmas accents to use throughout our home to really set a magically pink Christmas!

Pink Christmas Aesthetic Ribbon Recommendations

You could go a few ways on this. You could be all the way into your pink Christmas aesthetic and really layer in shades of pink in the ribbon, or you could do what I did which is to create a pink and gold Christmas tree that has equal accents of pink and the gold.

As I get into later, I went with the pink and gold Christmas tree theme for a few reasons.

However, I think fully pink Christmas trees are stunning and see no reason why you couldn’t really lean in by using pink Christmas tree ornaments, pinks and ribbon!

If you’re going that way, here are a few options I found to really make your tree stand apart from the crowd!

Faux Floral Accents

Add some faux floral like I did to my pink tree to make it unique and pop! Here are some suggestions similar to what I used.

Suggestions for Pink and Gold Christmas Decorations

Using pink Christmas decorations is a very bold choice and I’m obviously here for it! For me, it’s about mixing a bit of other soft complimentary color like ivory to make the effect soft and warm.

You also need to choose the tone of the pink Christmas tree aesthetic – are they cool tones pinks, warm toned pinks? Are they bubble gum pink or hot pink?

Start with that primary color before choosing whites the complimentary shade should be. White would look amazing with hot or bubble gum pink, but for this soft pink and gold Christmas decorations look I went with, ivory and soft blue’s made for the right fit.

Also be sure to consider your complimenting pink Christmas accents. I chose to use pink and gold Christmas decorations because most of my accents throughout my home are gold, so I could blend them easily.

Perhaps you have silver more, so choosing a pink that works with silver may be a better choice for you.

Pink Christmas Ornaments

You don’t have to invest in pink Christmas ornaments in order to have a pink Christmas aesthetic. Are they nice to have? Absolutely. But the year I designed this tree I couldn’t find a collection I liked.

So I used a set of ornament Is already had, and carefully pulled out only the tones I felt worked with the pink Christmas tree ornament look I wanted. I used soft blues and pale grays, whites and then added in both silver and gold as the metal accents.

By making the faux florals in bold pinks and in oversized flowers the effect was still an overwhelming strong pink Christmas look despite not having all pink Christmas tree ornaments!

If you do want to buy some beautiful pink ornaments, here are some stunning ones I found!

Pink Christmas Decorations

Why stop at the tree? If you love the pink Christmas aesthetic as much as I do, add these gorgeous pink Christmas decorations around your house to continue the look.

In my opinion, there is never “too much” Christmas decor!

Think about setting the stage for your chosen color scheme by adding a pink wreath, or some silk pink poinsettias in your front planter, or using pink candles in your dining room to help make the entire pink Christmas look consistent!
