How Do You Replace a Humidity Sensor with a Dehumidifier?
Replace your sensor with the steps below. Your Hisense dehumidifier will be unable to cycle properly until the faulty sensor is no longer part of the assembly.
Get a new sensor which is manufacturer-approved, as a replacement.According to the Hisense dehumidifier user manual, unplug the appliance before proceeding with the replacement process.
Step 1. Remove the Bucket
Pull this bucket out of the dehumidifier. Dehumidifiers allow humid air into the unit to separate the moisture from the air.
This dry air goes back out while the water gathers in a water collection bucket.
Step 2. Take Out the Air Filter
The air filter makes the air from the dehumidifier free from impurities. From the front grille, take the air filter out.

Also, disconnect the wires attaching the sensor to the float switch and the evaporator thermistor. Then, pull the sensor away from the evaporator fins and entirely out of the dehumidifier.
Step 7. Reassemble
Place the new humidity sensor in front of the evaporator fins. Reinstall the evaporator thermistor and reconnect the wire harness to the float switch of the collection bucket.
Also, reconnect the sensor wires to the control board. Fix the outer case back on the Hisense dehumidifier with mounting screws.
Repeat the same process with the back panel and the front grille. Then, reinstall the clean air filter and the water collection bucket.
After replacing the humidity sensor, restore its power by plugging it back into the electrical outlet.
