The NFL's Week 6 is here, and with it comes a host of injury updates and player availability news. Let's dive right in!
The Big Question: Who's In, Who's Out?
In a season plagued by injuries, the NFL's biggest stars have been hit hard. Lamar Jackson, the Ravens' star quarterback, is out for his second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, the 49ers' Brock Purdy is also sidelined with a toe injury.
But here's where it gets controversial: Kyler Murray, the Arizona Cardinals' quarterback, was a game-time decision due to a foot injury. And the verdict is in - he's officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts. Jacoby Brissett steps in as the starter for Arizona, a decision that was hinted at throughout the week.
While Jackson's absence is felt in Baltimore, the Ravens can take solace in the fact that wide receiver Zay Flowers, who was questionable with a shoulder injury, will be suiting up for the 1 p.m. games. Similarly, Christian Gonzalez, the Patriots' cornerback, and Shedeur Sanders, the Browns' quarterback, are both active and ready to make an impact.
And this is the part most people miss: Saints running back Alvin Kamara, who was listed as questionable with an ankle injury, is not on the inactive report and will be taking the field. A huge relief for Saints fans!
For the 4 p.m. games, there's still some uncertainty. Ja'Marr Chase, the Bengals' wide receiver, is questionable due to an illness, but he's expected to play. Jauan Jennings, the 49ers' wide receiver, is also questionable with an ankle and rib injury.
Stay tuned as we bring you the latest injury updates throughout Sunday's games. We'll keep you in the loop!
