Rex is a Bernese Mountain Dog who a member of PAW Patrol in the TV series PAW Patrol. He debuted in "Dino Rescue: Pups and the Lost Dino Eggs". He is a dinosaur expert residing in a place called the Dino Wilds where the PAW Patrol travel to. He lives in a place called the Dino Wilds, where there are dinosaurs, but no pups.
He is voiced by Luxton Handspiker from Season 7, who later voiced Rubble in Rubble & Crew and Hartley Bernier since Season 9 in the Canadian and North American versions of the TV series.

Appearance[]
Rex has black, brown, and light cream fur in patches. His eyebrows and eyes are brown. He wears a black and blue helmet, a lime-green vest, and a wheeled dino walker that carries his hind legs.
Personality[]
He has a very sweet personality, and is knowledgeable about dinosaurs. Due to his ability to speak to dinosaurs, he has quite a way with them. He has a soft spot for baby dinosaurs in particular.
Despite his disability, he is quite determined and doesn't let anything slow him down. If a dinosaur's in trouble, he'll do anything he can to save it, no questions asked.
Trivia[]
- Rex is the PAW Patrol's first disabled pup.
- His name is a reference to the Tyrannosaurus Rex, one of the many species of dinosaurs.
- Rex also means "king" in Latin.
- In an early toy, Rex has yellow eyes instead of brown.
- He is a Bernese Mountain Dog.
- Like Everest, Tracker, and many of the other secondary members, he does not live with Ryder and the main pups at the Lookout. He acts as a fifth reserved member of the PAW Patrol being called on when his skills (in dino knowledge) are required.
- It is unknown how he got his badge.
- It is likely that he did a rescue like Everest to earn his, but it is unknown.
- It's revealed that Rex lives in the Dino Wilds with Cap'n Turbot's relatives, making him the first pup of the reserve team not to be alone, lost, abandoned, or forgotten, so it's likely that he was adopted by Dr. Tammy Turbot and her daughter.
- Rex is the third member of the team to speak the language of other animals along with Chase and Marshall. Along with Tracker, he could be considered bilingual.
- Rex and Everest both don't take off part of their outfit when off duty. His vest for Rex and Her hat for Everest.
- So far, it's unknown how he became a paraplegic.
- He's the only pup to walk (drive) into his Pup-vehicle.
- In "Dino Rescue: Pups Save a Pterodactyl", he has a fear of velociraptors.
- In some promotions, his collar is blue instead of lime.
- He only appears in Dino Rescue episodes.
- An exception was in "All Paws on Deck", where every PAW Patrol member appeared.
