On Thursday, it was Home and Away's night to shine, dominating the entertainment scene with a triple play that captivated audiences. But here's where it gets controversial... The Chase, a rare winner on this particular Thursday, owes its success to Nine's programming choices. An interesting twist, don't you think?

Nine's Oaks Day coverage drew a substantial audience, peaking at an impressive 318,000 viewers nationwide. In primetime, Home and Away's triple feature topped the entertainment charts, with each episode pulling in strong numbers: 799,000, 748,000, and 719,000 viewers, respectively.

The 7:30 slot was led by Seven News, attracting 791,000 viewers. Other popular choices included RBT (630,000), Grand Designs Australia (543,000), and The Celebrity Traitors UK (239,000).

Later in the evening, RPA took the lead with 393,000 viewers, followed by Long Lost Family (308,000), Jim Jefferies & Friends (264,000), Gogglebox (210,000), and From That Small Island: The Irish Story (127,000).

Seven News maintained its top spot with a whopping 1.25 million viewers. The Chase, a rare winner, managed to secure 660,000 viewers, thanks to Nine's programming strategy. First Dates UK, however, struggled with only 140,000 viewers.

Nine News attracted 1.08 million viewers, closely followed by A Current Affair (899,000). Tipping Point and A&E After Dark managed 251,000 and 152,000 viewers, respectively.

ABC News scored an impressive 864,000 viewers. Hard Quiz (321,000), QI (165,000), and Portrait Artist of the Year (137,000) rounded out the evening's offerings.

10 News drew 305,000 viewers, with Deal or No Deal attracting 238,000 and 10 News+ managing 145,000.

SBS's lineup included SBS World News (160,000 / 118,000), Blue Lights (109,000), Mastermind (96,000), and Eva Longoria: Searching for Spain (94,000).

The Morning Show had a solid performance with 241,000 / 179,000 viewers, while Today Extra attracted 182,000 / 116,000.
