Oh yeah, that’s right, you’re going straight in at the deep end. We’re kicking off our best classic rock karaoke songs list with one of the finest songs there is, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen. This song has EVERYTHING. An a cappella intro, soaring vocals, rousing choruses. Altogether now… Scaramouche, Scaramouche can you do the fandango!
Next up on our best classic rock karaoke songs is the heartthrob that is Bon Jovi. Yes, he of fine mullet fame also happened to deliver some pretty darn good karaoke bangers. Just get ready to catch your mum in case she swoons at the mere thought of Bon Jovi in his prime.

8. Creedence Clearwater Revival – Have You Ever Seen The Rain
Next up in our best classic rock karaoke songs list is ‘Have You Ever Seen The Rain’ the 1971 karaoke smash by roots rock group Creedence Clearwater Revival. In the words of John Fogerty, ‘The song is really about the impending breakup of Creedence. The imagery is, you can have a bright, beautiful, sunny day and it can be raining at the same time. The band was breaking up. I was reacting: ‘Geez, this is all getting serious right at the time when we should be having a sunny day.’
From one band of classic rockers to another, Fleetwood Mac are one of the biggest bands on the genre and with good reason. With a roster of top hits and some complicated relationship antics in the band, this band have rock stars written all over them. ‘The Chain’ was written by Stevie Nicks about her relationship with Lindsey Buckingham just as their relationship was falling apart.
10. Lynyrd Skynyrd – Sweet Home Alabama
We don’t care where in the world you’re singing from, or where you call home – Hong Kong, Berlin, Lagos, Helskini – we are officially giving you the permission to sing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ from the top of your lungs. We’ve already had a song written by Stevie Nicks for Lindsey Buckingham, so it was only fair that we now included one written by Lindsey Buckingham for… you guessed it, Stevie Nicks. We told you this business of being in a rock band was complicated! Up next in our best classic rock karaoke classics list is ‘Go Your Own Way’ and the second entry from Fleetwood Mac.
15. Poison – Every Rose Has Its Thorn
It’s only natural that we include some glam rock in our best classic rock karaoke songs of all time list. And who better to do the honour than rock band Poison. In an interview with VH1’s Behind the Music, Bret Michaels said the inspiration for the song came from a night when he was in a laundromat in Dallas waiting for his clothes to dry, and called his girlfriend on a pay phone. Michaels said he heard a male voice in the background and was devastated; he said he went into the laundromat and wrote “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” as a result.
Don’t stop us now! We told you we would be unapologetically stanning Queen in our best classic rock karaoke songs, and sure enough, here we are with their third entry. Rock icons don’t come more legendary than Freddie Mercury. The swag, the tight jeans, that voice! Rest in Power, Freddie.
