The U of T academic calendar dates below include enrolment dates, drop deadlines, exam periods, petition deadlines and more. It is important to take note of all your UOFT important dates, and payment and refund deadlines.

At theUniversity of Toronto, your refund eligibility depends on a variety of factors including how your fees are assessed (either program fee or per-course fee) and on what date you cancelled the course.

U of T academic calendar fall 2024

Check out the UOFT important dates and deadlines on the U of T academic calendar for Fall 2024.

1. U of T Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 course enrolment start times become available on ACORN for Arts & Science students of all years on July 1, 2024.
2. Course enrolment priority period for Faculty of Arts & Science students is from July 8 to July 24, 2024.
3. Fourth-year (14.0+ credits) students can begin enrolling in Fall and Winter courses starting July 8, 2024.
4. July 10, 2024, marks the first day of third-year students’ Fall and Winter course enrolment (9.0 – 13.5 credits).
5. Second-year students (4.0 – 8.5 credits) can enrol in Fall and Winter courses starting July 15, 2024.
6. July 18, 2024, is the first day of fall and winter course enrollment for first-year students (fewer than 4.0 credits).
7. July 25, 2024, is a non-enrolment day, and ACORN cannot be used to add, change, or drop courses.
8. General enrolment for Faculty of Arts & Science students begins on July 26, 2024.
9. Another non-enrolment day falls on July 30, 2024.
10. Course enrolment starts on July 31, 2024, for St. George campus (downtown) students who still need to be enrolled in the Faculty of Arts & Science and non-degree Arts & Science students.
11. August 1, 2024, is a non-enrolment day.
12. Course enrolment for other campuses opens at 6 a.m. on August 2, 2024, allowing Arts & Science students to add UTM/UTSC courses and vice versa.
13. The tuition fee payment/deferral deadline for the Fall/Winter session is August 27, 2024.
14. Labour Day holiday is Monday, September 2, 2024. There are no classes.
15. U of T Fall 2024 classes for F and Y courses start on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
16. The last day to request Fall 2024 graduation is September 6, 2024.
17. Waitlists for F and Y courses close on September 12, 2024.
18. September 16, 2024, is the last day to enrol in F and Y courses and the last day to enrol or accept an invitation to a Fall/Winter program. Additionally, it marks the program/course fee freeze date for F and Y courses.
19. The first day to select a Credit/No-Credit (CR/NCR) option for F and Y courses will be determined.
20. U of T Thanksgiving holiday 2024 is on October 14, 2024. There are no classes.
21. U of T Fall Reading Week is from Monday, October 28, to Friday, November 1, 2024. Classes resume on Monday, November 4, 2024.
22. November 4, 2024, is the last day to drop F courses.
23. The first day to request Spring 2025 graduation and the previous day to submit a petition for the November 2024 deferred exam period are to be determined.
24. December 3, 2024, marks the last day for most regularly scheduled classes in F and Y courses for the Fall term of 2024. It’s also the official last day of classes, with any Monday classes making up for the missed session due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
25. The last day to add or remove a CR/NCR option in Fall F courses and the deadline to request Late Withdrawal (LWD) from Fall F courses are to be determined.
26. Fall 2024 Study days are scheduled for December 4-5, 2024.
27. Fall 2024 Final exams in F courses and term tests in Y courses will be held from December 6 to 21, 2024.
28. U of T Winter Break 2024 is from December 24, 2024, to January 3, 2025.

1. The University ofTorontoreopens after Winter break on January 2, 2024.
2. U of T Winter 2024 Classes in S courses begin on January 8, 2024, while classes in Y courses resume on the same day.
3. Waitlists for S courses close at the end of the day on January 16, 2024.
4. The last day to enroll in S courses is on January 21, 2024.
5. January 21, 2024, is also the Program/Course fee freeze date for S courses.
6. The first day to select a Credit/No-Credit (CR/NCR) option for S courses is on January 22, 2024.
7. January 31, 2024, is the last day to request June 2024 graduation.
8. Family Day is on February 19, 2024, results in the university being closed, with no classes scheduled.
9. February 19, 2024, is also the last day to drop Y courses. Note that some courses cannot be dropped using ACORN, and students must contact their College or Department to do so; refer to the Course Enrolment Instructions.
10. U of T Reading Week 2024 is from February 19, to February 23, 2024.
11. The last day to drop S courses is on March 11, 2024. Note that some courses cannot be dropped using ACORN, and students must contact their College or Department to do so; refer to the Course Enrolment Instructions.
12. Good Friday 2024 is on March 29, 2024, results in the university being closed, with no classes or final assessments.
13. Classes end in S and Y courses on April 5, 2024.
14. April 8, 2024, is the last day to add or remove a CR/NCR option in S and Y courses.
15. Deadline to request Late Withdrawal (LWD) from S and Y courses at the College Registrar’s Office is also on April 8, 2024.
16. At the instructor’s discretion, classes scheduled on Fridays will hold their last class on April 8, 2024, to make up for the class missed due to the Good Friday holiday.
17. April 9, 2024, is designated as a study day.
18. Final exams in S and Y courses take place from April 10 to 30, 2024.
