    Vegetable Au Gratin Recipe

    Vegetable Au Gratin is one recipe which i wanted to make for quite sometime. Finally i made it yesterday and shared a picture on instagram and everyone asked for the recipe. So here i am with the recipe.

    About this Recipe

    Simple gratin vegetables or vegetable au gratin with step by step pictures. Veg gratin is made with a variety of mixed vegetables tossed with bechamel sauce and cheese and baked till golden and bubbly.

    This is a yummy vegetable dish which is tossed with white sauce and topped with cheese and then grilled till golden perfection. Taste amazing on its own or when served with toasted bread.

    Ingredients for Vegetable Au Gratin

    Mixed Vegetables - 2 cups(i used broccoli, carrot and green beans)
    Salt to taste
    Water - ½ cup

    How to Make Bechamel Sauce

    Butter -2 tblspn
    All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 tblspn
    Milk - 1 to 2 cups
    Salt to taste
    Pepper Powder to taste
    Oregano - ½ tsp
    Cheese - ¼ cup + ¼ cup

    How to Make Vegetable Au Gratin

    • Preheat oven to grill mode. Set temp to 200 degree c.
    • Take veggies in a pan, add water and some salt and cover and cook for 3 to 4 mins. Now drain and set aside.
    • Heat butter in the same pan, add in flour and fry for a min. Add milk slowly and whisk till it gets smooth.
    • Now cook this till it thickens.
    • Add in salt, pepper, oregano and ¼ cup of cheese and mix well.
    • Add veggies in this and mix well.
    • Spoon this into the baking pan, top with cheese and pop this in oven.
    • Grill this for 10 to 15 mins till the top is golden.
    • Remove and serve with toasted bread.

    Ingredients

    • Mixed Vegetables - 2 cups i used broccoli, carrot and green beans
    • Salt to taste
    • Water - ½ cup
    • For White Sauce:
    • Butter -2 tblspn
    • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 tblspn
    • Milk - 1 to 2 cups
    • Salt to taste
    • Pepper Powder to taste

    • Cheese - ¼ cup + ¼ cup

    Instructions
