In fact, many people consider Halloween their favorite decorating holiday! To help you plan your costume and your trick-or-treating route, you’re going to want to know the weather on Halloween.

Here’s what our Halloween forecast for our weather zones Halloween, Tuesday, October 31, 2023:

UNITED STATES

Zone 1 – Northeast & New England

New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C.

Trick-or-treaters should bundle up. Unseasonably chilly weather is predicted.

Zone 2 – Great Lakes, Ohio Valley & Midwest

Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin

Cool and dry conditions should be on tap for Halloween in this region.

Brrr! Bundle up the little ones! Unseasonably chilly weather may play a trick on Halloween evening.

Zone 4 – North Central

Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana

Fair, then stormy weather shifts eastward with snow in Rockies and over Plains States.

Zone 5 – South Central

Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico

Fair but cool conditions should be on tap, possible light snow southern Rockies to TX.

Fair, then stormy WA, OR; hold on to your umbrella for Halloween.

Zone 7 – Southwest

California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona

Some unsettled conditions might make trick-or-treating a little soggy.
