From Tina Fey to Princess Diana, here's what some of our favorite people have to say about a mother's love.
A great Mother's Day card isn't just a classic, it's a great way to show your appreciation for mom... with one caveat. No matter how beautiful the card you choose, or how meaningful the sentiment, the emotion behind it can be instantly derailed by a thoughtless inscription (or, worse yet, nothing but your name) scribbled onto the interior at the last second. We get it, coming up with something to say that encompasses all the moms in your life mean to you can feel like an insurmountable task. Fortunately, many of the greatest thinkers of all time have applied themselves to the task for centuries, and if well-deployed, a quote from one of them will turn a good Mother's Day card or letter into one she'll never forget.
Here, we've rounded up some of the greatest saying about moms that will be sure to pluck at her heart strings this Mother's Day (that's Sunday, May 12, 2024, in case you forgot.)
