How do I audition for The Voice? If you're at least 13 years old, you can sign up for the virtual Auditions by going to the show's official casting website, nbcthevoice.com. From there, you can create an account and select your time slot.

While the initial open call auditions are usually free, contestants who make it to the later stages of the competition may incur costs related to travel, accommodations, and wardrobe for their performances.

You must submit an official Video Submission through your Artist Account or participate in one of our Virtual Open Call auditions to be considered for The Voice.

You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age by May 31, 2024.

Keep in mind: There is no upper age limit for contestants on “The Voice”—artists of all ages over 13 are encouraged to apply. Don't audition if you're running for public office. Candidates for public office aren't eligible to audition for The Voice.

Aside from that $100,000 cash prize at the end of it all, contestants on The Voice do receive money from the show. But they don't get paid in the same way that the coaches of the show or staff get paid. According to Newsweek, they do get a stipend, not a paycheck. Although it's unclear just how much that stipend is.
