Who is Lucifer's wife in the Bible? ›

In High School DxD, the biblical Lilith was stated to be Adam's first wife who lived in the Garden of Eden in ancient times and was taken by the Devil King Lucifer as his consort.

Goddess Lilith embodies the powerful feminine archetype, representing rebellion, sexual liberation, independence, mystery, empowerment, resilience, transformation and the pursuit of personal freedom.

Lilith said, “We are equal to each other inasmuch as we were both created from the earth.” Lilith then pronounced God's name and flew away into the air. At Adam's request, God sent three angels to bring Lilith back, but she refused.

While by the Red Sea Lilith became a lover to demons and producing 100 babies a day. The angels said that God would take these demon children away from her unless she returned to Adam. When she did not return, she was punished accordingly.

The Gospels never refer to Mary as Lilith. The creators of The Chosen probably chose this name because it is associated with demons in Jewish traditions. By noting how Mary is in the "Red Quarter", The Chosen is implying that she is a prostitute. The Bible never suggests Mary Magdalene was a prostitute.

Lilith's name is not included in the creation story of the Torah but she appears in several midrashic texts. There are multiple origin stories for Lilith, but the most popular story depicts Lilith as the first wife of Adam.

Lilith, meaning "belonging to the night," comes from the Akkadian word lilîtu, the feminine form of a word meaning "demon" or "spirit." In Mesopotamian and Jewish mythology, Lilith was the first wife of Adam who was ultimately banished from the Garden of Eden for her disobediance.
