Accepting a situation doesn’t mean that you like it. But some things are simply out of our control, and trying to fight it only increases our suffering. The classic example that’s used to illustrate this idea is a storm arriving on the day you’d planned to go for a picnic. You can be as upset as you want to about the weather, but that doesn’t change the fact that there’s a storm outside, and your picnic is canceled.

Instead of spending all your time thinking about how you can let go, start simply focusing on becoming the best version of yourself. Focus on your physical or mental health. Put effort towards meeting your short- and long-term goals. Make time for your neglected hobbies. You may find that, before you know it, you have naturally started to let go of what’s in your past.

It's so hard to let go of my husband of 18 years we have 3 kids together and was in love, but somewhere down the line he fell out of love with me and let me go.. now I feel i have hit rock bottom so hard and he was my security blanket and someone I knew I had always in my corner but now.. he's gone he detached himself from me, he ignores me, he neglects my feelings and hurts them.. I feel so sad and depressed because I don't have anyone to go to I'm all by myself.. the worst part is picking up the pieces of my broken heart and life and trying to be whole again because i lost myself when I lost him.. I don't know how to be by myself and stand on my own but some way I have to learn to love myself and find myself because right now i feel numb to everything i exclude myself from everything and haven't been myself in a long time.. this is the hardest thing I've ever went through but only God can pick me up and make me whole again because i don't love myself anymore and I don't know what to feel this is so hard to deal with especially whenever he doesn't even care about me or anything it's sad maybe one day i will find my self worth because my self esteem is gone and so am I....
